2. Information you give us
Contact form.
When you send us a message, we collect your name, email address, the topic and content of your message, and any organisation or club you choose to provide. We use this information to review your enquiry, reply and, where relevant, continue the conversation. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in handling enquiries sent to us. Sending a message does not sign you up for Mover updates.
Early access.
When you sign up, we collect the details requested in the form, such as your name, email address, country, preferred language and role. We use them to manage your request and send you updates about Mover, including its launch, scouting opportunities and platform news, as described when you sign up. Our legal basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us.
Growing the Network.
When you tell us where you would like to scout, we collect the contact details and club, league or location preferences you provide. We use them to understand interest in new scouting opportunities and let you know when relevant opportunities become available. Our legal basis for sending you these updates is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
3. Information about players provided by other people
A contact message may mention or recommend a player. In that case, we may receive basic information about the player from the person who contacts us. We initially use it to assess whether the recommendation is relevant to a potential scouting opportunity. Our legal basis for this limited review may be our legitimate interest in identifying suitable players, subject to an assessment of the player's rights and reasonable expectations.
If we take a recommendation forward, we will check the information, assess its further use and inform the player as required by data protection law. We do not automatically pass every recommendation to a club. Where appropriate, we may share relevant information with a club considering the player. A club using that information for its own recruitment decisions acts as a separate data controller.
Please do not include a player's medical information or confidential documents in the general contact form.
4. Website operation and analytics
When you use the website, our systems may process technical information such as your IP address, browser information and records needed to deliver the site and protect it from misuse. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website.
We use analytics to understand how visitors use our website. Analytics technologies are activated only with your consent. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through Cookie settings in the footer. The analytics provider and technologies used are listed in our Cookie Policy.
5. Who receives your data?
Access within Mover is limited to people who need the information for the purposes described above. We use service providers to host the website and data, operate forms and email, provide analytics where you consent, and maintain our systems. They process data under our instructions and appropriate data processing agreements.
We may share relevant player information with a club if a recommendation is taken forward, as explained in section 3. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
6. Where is your data stored?
The website's technical data storage is located in the European Union. We review our providers and their subprocessors, including any access to data from outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
If a provider or another recipient needs access to personal data outside the EEA, we will use a transfer mechanism permitted by data protection law, such as an adequacy decision or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, where applicable. We will assess any proposed disclosure of player information to a club outside the EEA before making it.
7. How long do we keep your data?
- Contact enquiries: up to 12 months after the last substantive exchange. We may keep specific information longer if an ongoing relationship, legal obligation or legal claim requires it.
- Early access registrations: until you withdraw your consent, and otherwise for no longer than 18 months after you sign up, unless you renew your registration.
- Growing the Network registrations and preferences: until you withdraw your consent, and otherwise for no longer than 18 months after you submit them, unless you renew your registration or join the platform.
- Player information in recommendations we do not pursue: no longer than 6 months after receipt. If a case is taken forward, we will set a period appropriate to that case and inform the player as required.
- Routine technical and security logs: normally up to 30 days, unless a particular security incident requires longer retention.
- Analytics data: according to the retention setting of the analytics service, which we will specify in our Cookie Policy once the service is configured.
Data in backups is removed as backups are replaced under the applicable backup schedule. We limit access to backups and do not use them for new purposes.
8. Your rights
Subject to the conditions in data protection law, you may request access to your personal data, correction or deletion, restriction of processing, or a copy of data you provided to us. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting processing that took place before withdrawal.
To exercise your rights, contact info@moverball.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia or another competent data protection authority.
9. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if our website, services or handling of personal data changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
